Biography and Family
Born in 1956 as Mohammed Aamir Hussain Khan, he started his journey in Bollywood as a child artist in the 1973 film Yadoon Ki Baraat, and came as a leading hero in the 1988 film Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak (QSQT). He then went on to do several mainstream Bollywood films, and won an award for many of them as well. He has not only received Filmfare and National Film Awards, but also Padam Shri (2003) and Padma Bhushan (2010).
Aamir Khan Married a Hindu girl, Reena Dutta at an early age, by running away from the families and marrying secretly. They faced opposition from families on religious grounds. After the hit of QSQT, he announced his marriage. They were married from 1986 – 2001 and have two kids. They got divorced in 2002. In 2005, Aamir Khan married director producer Kiran Rao.
