10. Shah Rukh Khan
Shah Rukh Khan was born November 2, 1965 and is also referred to as SRK by his fans. Shah Rukh Khan is a multi talented Bollywood film/television actor and producer, having starred in over 80 films and was the recipient of a variety of film awards. As a result of his achievements, he has attracted a quite large fan base and is known as the Baadshah of Bollywood (King Khan). Khan has been in show business quite a while now, having started in the later part of the 1980’s in television. His first film was Deewana in 1992. Khan is very athletic and enjoys football, hockey, and cricket, playing cricket at the national level.
9. Arjun Kapoor
Arjun Kapoor was born into a family bursting with film talent. His parents are Indian film producers, Boney Kapoor and Mona Shourie Kapoor. His grandfather is filmmaker, Surinder Kapoor. Arjun Kapoor also has uncles and cousins who successful in Bollywood films. As a result it is no surprise that this talented Bollywood actor appeared in three blockbuster Bollywood films right out of the gate: “Gunday” in 2014; “2 States” in 2014 and “Ki & Ka in 2016. Salman Khan was born Abdul Rashid Salim Salman Khan, on December 27, 1965. Khan works as an actor, musician, television presenter and producer in Bollywood. Salman is also well-known and respected for his philanthropist activities. This multi talented actor has been the recipient of two National Film Awards, as well as two Filmfare Awards, and is known as one of the most popular actors in Bollywood today.
7. Varun Dhawan
Varun Dhawan was born into a Bollywood family, on April 24, 1987 in Maharashtra, India, his father being film director, David Dhawan. Early aspirations led Varun to obtain a degree in business management. However, he soon caught the Bollywood bug, and became an assistant director for one of his fathers films. His first film was a romantic comedy called “Student of the Year”. In addition to working in films, he also performs on state, and has worked as a television presenter and host for the Screen and Stardust award ceremonies and assisted in raising funds for flood victims of Uttarakhand.
6. Akshay Kumar
Akshay Kumar was born Rajiv Hari Om Bhatia on September 9 , 1967. This prolific Bollywood actor has taken the lead in over 100 Bollywood films. Akshay is also a producer and accomplished martial artist, winning the Filmfare Awards twice. With his extensive knowledge of martial arts, it is not surprise that Akshay began in action films during the 90’s, as well as having a great amount of success as a stunt actor. In fact, he is so accomplished in martial arts, that he was awarded the highest Japanese Honor: Katana, and sixth degree Black Belt in Kuyukai Gojuryu Karate. As a result, he is known as the “Indian Jackie Chan”. His most famous stint was in the “Khiladi Series”, and later moved on to dramatic, romantic and comedic roles. As a bit of trivia, it is said he has his son’s name, Aarav, tattooed on his back.
5. Aamir Khan
Born in Mumbai in 1965, Aamir Khan was a star waiting to flourish, with a family who is involved with the Bollywood film industry. Khan began as a child star in the 1973 film, “Yaadon Ki Baaraat”. Today, Khan is a popular film actor, producer and director, winning 4 National Film Awards and 8 Filmfare awards. Noticed by the government of India for outstanding work, he was bestowed the honors of Padma Shri in 2003 and Padma Bhushan in 2010. His acting career burst open with the lead role in “Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak” in 1988. Since then his career has been on a roll, and his fan base has grown exponentially. A little known fact, is that he was a state tennis champion for Maharashtra.
4. Ranbir Kapoor
The multi talented son of actor Rishi Kapoor and actress Neetu Singh, and grandson of Bollywood actor/director Raj, Ranbir Kapoor was born on September 28, 1982 in Mumbai, Maharashtra. Ranbir Kapoor received much of his theatrical training as an actor in the Lee Strasberg Theater and Film Institute in New York, concentrating on the method style of acting. his first venture into the film world was to assist Sanjay Leela Bhansali for the 2005 film, “Black”, with his acting debut in 2007’s “Saawariya”. He has received 5 Filmfare Awards for his ability to convey emotion to the audience. Activities outside of Bollywood include being a co-founder of Picture Shuru Productions and co-owner of the Indian Super League football team.
3. Shahid Kapoor
Shahid Kapoor was born on February 25, 1981, his father is actor Pankaj Kapoor, who is well known for his role in the 80’s detective series, “Karamchand”, and his mother is both an actress and classical dancer, Neelima Azeem. When he was 18 he landed a Pepsi commercial, featuring Bollywood stars Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol and Rani Mukerji, after which he did commercials for Kit Kat and Close-Up. His first film was in 2003, taking the lead role in “Ishq Vishk”, a romantic comedy hit. This performance signaled his star to rise, as he won a Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut. Since then Kapoor has appeared in a number of successful films, including 2006’s “Vivah” and “Jab We Met” in 2007. All in all, Kapoor has won 3 Filmfare Awards for his performances.

Born in Mumbai, Maharashtra on December 17 1972, John Abraham is a huge multi talented Indian actor who also works as a producer. After completing his MBA from Mumbai Educational Trust, John started his Bollywood career as a high-end model, working in a Punjabi music video called “Surma”. He continued to model and appear in commercials and music videos. In order to strengthen his acting skills he joined the Kishore Namit Kapoor Acting Laboratory. 2003 marked his film debut with “Jism”, followed by his first major success, “Dhoom” in 2004. John has won a great amount of Film awards, all to numerous to mention here. They include awards from the National Film Awards, Filmfare, Star Screen, IIFA, Bollywood Movie Awards, Global Indian Film Awards, and the list goes on. John also invested in a fashion line called “Branded JA Clothes”.

Born on January 10, 1974, Hritik Roshan, nickname ‘Duggu’ has risen to become one of the top stars of Bollywood cinema today. He has been the recepient of a vast variety of awards which include Filmfare, IIFA, Screen Awards, Zee Cine, Bollywood Movie Awards, Stardust, BIG Star Entertainment, Apsara Film and Television Guild, Golden Minbar International Film Festival, and many, many others. His father is filmmaker Rakesh Roshan, and taught Hritik Roshan the ropes of Bollywood Cinema.
He made his film debut in the 2000 film, “Kaho Naa…Pyaar Hai” with Amisha Patel. After which, his career skyrocketed, Today Hritik Roshan is currently the highest paid actor in India. Some trivia about Hritik Roshan, is that he has two thumbs on his right hand and that he had great difficulty growing up as a stutterer, and worked to overcome it.
